Batteritid

Ja, nu ska det bli spännande att se hur länge batteriet i min kära HTC Magic håller. Idag har jag nämligen tänkt att använda min HTC desire till det mesta istället.

Jag brukar har bluetooth igång och kopplat till ett par jabra bt3030, hela vägen hemifrån till jobbet lyssnar jag på shoutcast sändningar. Sen brukar jag låta bluetooth vara påslaget resten av dagen för att snabbt kunna koppla på headsettet när det är dags att åka hem, lyssnandes på shoutcast.

Det har krävt att jag laddar på jobbet. Det är ju inga bekymmer då jag jobbar vid en dator och inte har några svårigheter att koppla in en usb-sladd för att få lite laddning.

Idag har jag endast använt min Magic som väckarklocka samt läst min Twitter och Facebook. På denna användningen ligger batteriet på 94 % helt klart godkänt. Ska bli spännande att se hur det kommer se ut senare idag/kväll samt hur bra desire batteriet pallar med.

Skånetrafiken

Tur man tycker det är så oerhört kul att komma hem lite senare än man hade tänkt sig. Annars hade man kanske varit lite irriterad på Skånetrafiken just nu. Hela jäkla tiden ska man räkna med att man kommer bli försenad.

Nu har jag iaf lite tur som har två avgångar att välja mellan så jag slipper vänta 1 timme på nästa avgång. Nu blir jag bara 20 minuter senare än planerat. Om inget händer med denna avgången förstås. Kul att få se Helsingborg idag.

Windows 7 Ultimate Concurrent RDP Users

Kom på att jag vill leka lite med RDP på min dator. Men kom snabbt på begränsningen i att det inte är en server. Enligt vår vän Mircrosoft får det bara vara 1 person inloggad på datorn i taget. Men jag tycker nått helt annat. Så jag hittade ett sätt att tillåta flera användare samtidigt.

Det är så enkelt som att byta ut en fil.

Man googlar efter: Concurrent_RDP_Win7_7100_32_64.zip och laddar ner den.

Sen byter man namn på filen: termsrv.dll

som ligger i: C:\Windows\System32

Nu är det bara till att kopiera över den nya från zip arkivet (byt namn till termsrv.dll)

Starta om datorn och njut av att ha flera användare inloggade.

Förseningar

Tur att det är så fint här på Hässleholm station (ironi), nu när man ska stå här i en halvtimme. Irriterande. Nu önskar man att man jobbade närmre hemma.  Suck.

Uppdaterat ubuntu servern

Jag har nu uppdaterat min arbetsgivares enda Linux server. Den har varit igång nu i 50 dagar. Woho!

HTC SENSE på en Magic 32a

Blir klart sugen på HTC Sense nu när frugan har en HTC Desire.

Men för att kunna lägga in Sense behöver jag uppgradera Radio och SPL.

Detta har jag inte gjort innan, så jag måste arbeta upp modet lite först.

Men jag hittade en bra guide av cursordroid på XDA.

Sen blir det nog att testa Smoki rommen då det verkar vara den som har flest grejer fungerande.

Upgrade to 6.35.10.18 Radio and 1.76.2007 SPL

Prerequisites:
- HTC Magic / Sapphire 32A
- Engineering SPL
----- 1.33.2005
----- 1.33.2009
----- 1.33.2010
----- If you boot into fastboot and have issues with "fastboot:remote not allow", then your SPL won't work. Upgrade to Engineering SPL before continuing.
----- If you do not have an Engineering SPL, download 1.33.2010 and flash through recovery before starting this procedure. Flash the SPL update.zip like any other update.zip file.
- Working ADB/Fastboot Drivers
- Basic knowledge or modding your phone

You will need:
- The 1.76.2007 SPL HBOOT image

Notes:
- This Radio and SPL is only for the new Sense UI ROMs (CursorSense32A)
- The Hero recovery is required for the new radio. The Sapphire H (Magic 32A) recovery will reboot after a few seconds.
- To select items using the Hero recovery, you need to use the green Talk/Send key on your device. The trackball select key will not work.

Steps:
- Download the files above onto your computer. Save them in the same folder (C:\AndroidSDK\Tools for example)
- Turn off your phone
- Power it on into recovery (hold Home and press Power)
- Run a full nandroid backup (optional, but recommended)
- Turn off your phone
- Power it on into FASTBOOT mode by holding Back and pressing Power
- Plug in a USB cable. you should see FASTBOOT USB on the screen
- From a command prompt, navigate to the folder where you saved the files above.
- Type in these commands:

fastboot fastboot flash radio Radio_HTC_PVT_32A_6.35.10.18.img

fastboot flash hboot hboot-1.76.2007.img

fastboot flash recovery recovery-RA-hero-v1.5.2.img

fastboot erase system -w

fastboot reboot-bootloader

- Your phone will reboot back into FASTBOOT.
- Verify that you now have the 6.35.10.18 Radio and 1.76.2007 SPL.

CONGRATULATIONS! You can now flash the CursorSense32A ROM!

There will be other ROMs soon that use this Radio and SPL. It's just a matter of time.

Upgrade from 6.35.07.29 to a new version

You can upgrade radio version from 6.35.07.29 to 6.35.08.29 or 6.35.10.18 without wiping, reflashing or losing any data.

- Download the radio image
6.35.08.29
6.35.10.18
- Save the radio update.zip file to the root of your SD card.
- Boot into Recovery mode, using Home and Power and apply the update like you would any other update.zip file.

Downgrade (Revert back to) 32A 3.22 Radio and SPL

You will need:
- 1.33.2010 Engineering SPL HBOOT image
